Meet Our Sandy Piano Team!

Alan Sedgley

Alan Sedgley has been with Riverton Music for over 25 years. He has a master’s degree in music from the University of Utah and has performed as principal trumpet with the Orchestra at Temple Square for the past 24 years.

His tenure at Riverton Music began as a music education consultant. After a couple years, he transferred to the piano division and eventually became the General Manager for the Riverton Music Piano Team. His passion for finding the best instrument to fit his customer’s needs has resulted in thousands of satisfied customers throughout his career and countles 5-star reviews on Google.

When Alan is not helping customers or playing his trumpet, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Tiffany, and their two children.

Stephen Kato

Stephen Kato has been in the piano industry for nearly 50 years. He began piano lessons at age 10 and his love for the piano (combined with his business administration degree) led him to a career in the music industry. His customer service experience and his nearly unlimited knowledge of piano produgts give him an uncanny ability to help people find the ideal piano for their home, school or church. His courteous and friendly demeanor - and his tendency to surprise and delight his customers at every turn - has made Stephen Kato one of the most successful piano consultants in Utah and we at Riverton Music are grateful to have him on our Sandy, Utah piano team.

Stephen's hobby is his job. He truly truly feels there is nothing more fulfilling than helping families experience the joy of music. When not at work, Stephen and his lovely wife, Rennae, enjoy spending time with their two children.
